NDA's Vice Presidential candidate M Venkaiah Naidu loves acronyms. Probably inspired by his leader Narendra Modi, Naidu often comes up with acronyms for the Prime Minister himself.
Speaking at an event on late President APJ Abdul Kalam's second death anniversary, Naidu showed off his talents again. He expanded 'APJAK', Kalam's initials. Naidu announced to the gathered crowd, "APJ Abdul Kalam stands for 'Anything is Possible with Just Attitude and Karma'".
Naidu was speaking at the unveiling of a memorial to Kalam at Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. PM Modi had inaugurated the memorial.
Naidu had once famously coined a reverse acronym of MODI as "Maker Of Developed India".
In fact, the BJP was also impressed with Naidu's talent for generating acronyms. When the four-time Rajya Sabha member gave an acronym for NDA government's mission 'Making of Developed India', it became the official line of the Centre in its public outreach campaign.
That was not all. A doting Naidu then coined a freshly-minted acronym for the 'Modifier Of Developing India'.
Earlier this year, while addressing a young crowd at Delhi's Shri Ram College of Commerce business conclave, Naidu coined another reverse acronym, this time for 'Young'- "You Owe U & Nation Greatness". A month later, the BJP leader said, "CITY means Civic Infrastructure To You."
