After days of incessant trolling over her stand against the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), members of which allegedly unleashed violence on the campus of Ramjas College on 22 February, Delhi University student Gurmehar Kaur on Tuesday said she's pulling out of the DU march to be held today and quitting the campaign she started to protest the RSS-backed group's action.

Kaur's tweets this morning came even as several celebrities joined in the non-stop trolling, mocking her for her opinion, casting doubts over her intention behind condemning the ABVP, and accusing her of selling out to Pakistan, based on an old photo of her holding a sign that read 'Pakistan did not kill my dad, war did'.

The sign campaign was part of a video she posted on Facebook a year ago to appeal for India-Pakistan peace. Kaur's father, Captain Mandeep Singh, was killed in the 1999 Kargil war.

After 22 Feb, Kaur started a campaign against ABVP and appealed to students of DU to band together to make colleges a safer place. She changed her Facebook profile picture to one holding a placard that read, "I am a student from Delhi University. I am not afraid of ABVP. I am not alone. Every student of India is with me. #StudentsAgainstABVP."

It's evident that the 20-year-old has had enough of the attacks on her on Twitter.

She tweeted "I have been through a lot and this is all my 20 year self could take." Here's are her other tweets.

There's a march by students and teachers scheduled today from the Khalsa College against the stalling of the street play competition allegedly by the ABVP which had objected to some of the content.

The faculty of Lady Sri Ram College, attended by Kaur, had this to say.
