21-Year-Old Delhi Boy Gets ₹1.25 Crore Placement Offer From Uber

NEW DELHI -- A 21-year-old student of Delhi Technological University has been offered a package of ₹1.25 crore per annunm from Uber Technologies, a U.S.-based cab service, The Hindustan Timesreported today.

Sidharth, an alumnus of Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, and a final year student of Computer Science at the DTU, will receive a basic pay package of ₹71 lakh, which goes up to Rs 1.25 crore with other benefits, HT reported. "It was a delight to have received the job offer and I am now looking forward to move to San Francisco," he told the newspaper.

Sidharth's father works as a consultant and his mother transcribes speeches as a freelancer, Press Trust of Indiareported. "I am looking forward to groom my technological skills at Uber before I begin brainstorming on my start-up plan which I see as a long-term goal," he told PTI.

The DTU student told HT that the final percentage in his Class 12 board examinations dipped because of English. He received 95.4%, with 98 out of 100 in computer science and mathematics, the newspaper reported.
