After a stellar year in India, Chinese electronics manufacturer Xiaomi is set to launch its newest smartphone, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 in the country on 19 January. The launch will take place in Delhi.

The device was launched in China in August 2016. Xiaomi India has said earlier that it is trying to minimise the time lag between the China and India launch for its devices. The Redmi Note 3 and other Xiaomi products have been selling well in the Indian market.

The highlights of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 include a huge 4100 mAh battery and a 10-core MedikTek processor. The Note 4 builds on the design of Note 3 and sports a similar 5.5 inch HD display. Under the hood, it is running MediaTek's Helios X20 deca-core processor.

Like the Redmi Note 3, the phone will come in a couple of variants. The first variant has a 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, while the higher-end variant has a 3 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Both variants will be available in gold, silver, and dark gray colours. The phone also has a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera.

Xiaomi recently announced that it registered over $1 billion in revenues in India last year. The Redmi Note 3 was the biggest performer of the year for the company besides other models such as Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime.
