Koffee With Karan

The latest episode of Koffee with Karan featured Salman Khan with his brothers, Arbaaz and Sohail. Johar seemed particularly excited about this episode as it marked the 100th episode of his chat show.

The three brothers seemed in fine form and made tons of self-deprecating jokes, including the most obvious one -- that they stick around Salman because he's the star.

Sohail and Arbaaz also said how their careers didn't really soar as well as Salman's because they didn't work as hard, despite the many opportunities that came their way thanks to their father's goodwill and Salman's stardom.

Here are some of the finest moments from last night's episode.

1. Salman can't do without sex or gym for more than a month.

For all his claims of being a virgin, Arbaaz, in a candid moment, revealed that if there was one actor in the industry who cannot do without sex for even a month, it was Salman. Same held true when Karan asked him to name an actor who cannot do without hitting the gym for a month. Hmm.

2. When Karan asked if the brothers have a conversation with Salman about his marriage.

Once again, Arbaaz went into a self-deprecating mode and said that Salman probably isn't getting married because he sees what's happening around him in the house, a sly reference to his own marriage (he recently separated from his wife, Malaika Arora Khan).

3. The brothers are into sharing underwears.

This was an awkward moment for Karan Johar as he appeared visibly startled on hearing this revelation. But it seems that the trio doesn't mind sharing underwears, though there is no reasonable explanation for such a thing to occur. If it helps you feel better, Sohail said that they wear it only 'after washing.'

4. Salman on his relationship status: single, confused and in-transit.

Salman may have dated a bevy of beauties but he quite openly admitted that he sucked in handling relationships. "I am not the nicest person when I am in a relationship," he said. To this, Arbaaz added, "He's nice to other people at that time," a sly reference to Khan's promiscuity. About his relationship status, Salman said, "I'm single, confused, waiting for clearance, and in-transit."

5. Sohail Khan's friends kidnapped a maulvi to get him married to Seema Khan.

In one of the funnier anecdotes, it was revealed that Sohail eloped with his now wife, Seema, and his friends kidnapped a maulvi to sanctify the marriage. Incidentally, it turned out that the maulvi was the same guy who their father Salim Khan had kidnapped, 35 years ago, to sanctify his own marriage with Salma Khan.

6. Salman revealed that his 'fight' with Shah Rukh Khan was a war fuelled by the media.

Much has been written about the Salman-Shah Rukh fight but Salman said that their differences were minor but exaggerated by the media and people around them. He said that despite their interpersonal fight, the families kept in touch. "People around us talk but we are sensible not to get affected by it."

7. Salman said Aamir needs to read a book on when to keep your mouth shut.

In a reference to a controversy that dodged Aamir last year when he said that his wife Kiran Rao often tells him about moving out of India due to the rising level of intolerance, Salman said that Aamir needs to read a book on "When to keep your mouth shut."

8. When irony level on the show got land cruised.

In one of the most ironical moments of the show, Salman said that celebs never get away with anything and often pay a price for nothing at all. Sohail added that he wants people to treat them normally. "People say we get away with anything but we rarely do."

In case you didn't get it, Salman has been an accused in a hit-and-run case where one person was killed. He has also been accused of poaching a deer from an endangered species in Rajasthan.

9. Their Bandra home is a welcoming abode with food, clothing, and shelter-for-all.

The brothers narrated the story of a guy, who randomly walked into their house, stayed over for a week, and was discovered only when he criticized the mutton that was made for lunch one day. The three looked at each other and figured that neither of them had invited him. The lad quietly left but not before having enough material for the best story to tell, ever.
