Karan Johar Says Celebs On This Season Of Koffee Are Being Guarded Because Of Online Vigilantism

Mumbai, Dec 7 (PTI) Filmmaker Karan Johar says guests on his chat show Koffee with Karan this season are more guarded about what they speak, and feels the reason for this is the fact that everything they say gets over-analysed.

"They (celebrities) are speaking much lesser this season. They are aware that there is a digital dot com daunting on top of their head who upload and hang on every word they say. So they (celebrities) are all the more guarded about what they would say on the show as whatever they say becomes a headline. Sometimes it's great for the show but not great for them," Karan told reporters at an event here last night.

The filmmaker said the show is fun, casual watch and every word said on it should not be taken seriously.

"Not every word should be whacked or over-analysed. At times people interpret things seriously or in a different way but it shouldn't be seen that way. I don't think anyone sitting on the couch means to offend anyone."

This season of Koffee with Karan has celebrity guests, including superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra.

Salman will be appearing on the chat show this weekend with his brothers Arbaaz and Sohail.

"I was most excited as he (Salman) came for the 100th episode. It was 'Koffee' century. He came with his brothers. It was an amazing episode and you should watch it," Karan added.
