The celebration of 411th anniversary of the installation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of the Sikh community, at the Golden Temple, Amritsar, was truly a sight to behold. Attended by thousands of devotees on Monday, the celebration was marked by beautiful decorations, lights, processions and other religious activities. The Sikh martial arts were also on display.
The procession was led by the Panj Pyaras, or the five beloved ones. The Guru Granth Sahib was carried in a flower-bedecked golden palanquin. People from far-flung places participated in the procession.
