The latest season of Game Of Thrones has social media in a twist. What with the returns, flashbacks and new enemies in the very first episode; to the rumoured leaked first few episodes, the season five of Game Of Thrones has another surprise for Indian fans.
New Delhi-based artist Vishal Dutt has imagined a desi version of the popular HBO series.
"I read that there's going to be an Indian remake of Game Of Thrones (I don't want to live on this planet anymore). So I imagined some of my favorite GoT characters like this; and the outcome amused me," Dutt wrote on his Facebook timeline.
Twitter had gone bonkers a few weeks ago when news that actress Saakshi Tanwar was to portray the role of Daenerys Targaryen in the so-called Indian "remake" of the Game of Thrones started making rounds. But when HuffPost India called up the Mumbai office of Sony Entertainment Television to get an official comment, they denied the entire story.
"Yes, it's true that we are working on a period drama starring Saakshi (Tanwar) set in the mid-1800s, but it is not at all connected to Game Of Thrones. We don't know how this story even came to be," an official source from the channel told HuffPost India.
