Kashmir burst into a conflagration following the shooting death of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani in a brief encounter in Kokernag, Anantnag district. So far, more than 1500 people have suffered injuries and around 30 protesters have lost their lives after the forces fired at them. It is a time of mourning in the state, and one of simmering anger as well.
