It’s been 12 years, but no one can still forget the six sixes that made every Indian cricket fan jump up in excitement. On 19 September, 2007, Yuvraj Singh hit six consecutive sixes at the ICC World Twenty20 against England’s Stuart Broad. Singh scored the fastest fifty in T20 internationals in just 12 balls.

It was the fourth time in the history of cricket, as News18 points out, but first in the T20s. Herschelle Gibbs managed the feat in a one-day international during the World Cup in 2007. Gary Sobers and Ravi Shastri have done so in first class cricket.

Singh announced retirement from all forms of cricket in June this year. “This game taught me how to fight, how to fall, to dust off, to get up again and move forward,” he had said.
He had listed the 2011 World Cup triumph and getting the six sixes in an over against England, among others, as the most special moments of his career.
