Looks like Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy has inspired more people than we know. Everyone in India seems to be rapping these days, including this BJP leader from Meerut during a rally.

As the campaigning heats up with polling just one week away, political leaders are leaving no stone unturned. BJP’s Vineet Sharda chanted/rapped ‘kamal, kamal, kamal, kamal’ QUITE the number of times to drive his point home.

A video of his ‘kamal, kamal’ went viral:

Sharda, during his speech, also called Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘Ram’ and Yogi Adityanath ‘Lakshman’. At one point, he was so excited, he ran out of words.

Twitter users joked about Sharda’s energy and excitement. Some said he had had too much Glucon D and others said they were scared he will fall of the stage. Some said his request for votes came across as a threat.
