The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed on Thursday filed a charge sheet against three men for gang-raping the survivor in the Unnao rape case in June 2017 when she was a minor.

This incident took place reportedly after expelled BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar allegedly raped her.

According to a report in The Times of India, the CBI named three men who are out on bail at the moment — Naresh Tiwari, Brijesh Yadav and Shubham Singh.

The report said that Shubham is the son of Shashi Singh, the man who allegedly lured the woman to Sengar’s residence.

The woman had alleged Sengar had raped her when she was a minor in 2017. The current CBI charge sheet states that the three men rape her three weeks after Sengar raped her.

While Sengar is in jail, the woman was recently released from hospital after being critically injured in a car crash. Her family has alleged that the car crash was not accident but a planned effort by Sengar and his accomplices to kill the woman.

The woman’s father, two aunts and one witness have all died suspiciously since she accused Sengar of raping her.

The woman’s father died on April 9, 2018 while in judicial custody. He was framed in an arms case and was reportedly assaulted while he was in custody.

Mother records statement

Meanwhile, the woman’s mother and sister deposed before District Judge Dharmesh Sharma during in-camera proceedings in the case of the murder of the father in judicial custody, a lawyer told PTI.

The mother, according to the PTI, became emotional on seeing her husband’s clothes and burst into tears.

The lawyer told the news agency that the court gave her time to calm herself.

The court had earlier framed charges against Sengar and 10 others in the case.
