Thursday Was The Coldest December Day In Delhi In Last 4 Years

And the cold wave conditions are likely to continue.

Delhi is seeing the first cold wave of this winter, and reports say it has been colder than London, Shimla and Nainital.

The temperature in the national capital has dropped consistently. PTI reported that at 4 degrees Celsius, Thursday was the coldest December day in Delhi in the last four years.

Hindustan Times reported that the minimum temperature dropped to 1.8 degrees Celsius in Gurgaon.

PTI reported the MeT Department as saying that the fall in temperature was because of cold wave conditions prevailing over northwest India and that the temperature was likely to fall further till 22 December.

The Met office has forecast clear skies for Friday along with moderate fog in the morning and haze and smoke thereafter.

“Cold wave conditions are likely at isolated places. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 22 and 4 degree Celsius, respectively,” the weather office said.

People in Delhi took to Twitter to express their joy over the good weather. Some said they were enjoying it and but others were certainly struggling.

People who travelled to Delhi were in for a shock.
