No Awards, But All The Fun: Radhika Apte, Karan Johar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui At International Emmys 2019

Nawazuddin Siddiqui had some consolation as McMafia, the UK show he starred in, won the award for best drama series.

The Indian TV shows nominated for the International Emmys did not win any awards, but photos posted by the stars who attended showed that they had a really good time. The award show was held in New York on Tuesday morning India time.

Radhika Apte had been nominated in the best actress category for Lust Stories, the Netflix mini-series itself had received a nomination in the TV Movie/Mini Series category, Sacred Games in the best drama category and Amazon Prime Video’s The Remix for best reality TV.

Apte, Kubbra Sait, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap were part of the team that represented Sacred Games while Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar (and Kashyap) were at the event for Lust Stories.

Siddiqui had some consolation as McMafia, the UK show he starred in, won the award for best drama series.

And even though Indian productions did not win an award, the photos shared by them on social media showed that they had a lot of fun. Here are some of them:
