A frantic SK Tijarawala, the spokesperson for Patanjali, took to Twitter on Monday, tagging the Delhi police and even the home minister claiming 11 people, including him, had their phones stolen during the cremation of former finance minister Arun Jaitley at New Delhi’s Nigambodh Ghat.

In a series of tweets, Tijarawala urged the Delhi police and gave them constant updates on where the location of his phone was.

He also drew inspiration from rapper Badshah and singer Aastha Gill’s “party anthem” of 2015 telling the Delhi police, “Dilli police waale babu mera phone dila do”.

Tijarawala’s pleas did not stop there. He said in a tweet, that while he was bidding farewell to Jaitley, his phone also bid him a final farewell! He said:

Weird much?

Babul Supriyo has not said anything about this phone stealing spree so far.

PTI reported that though a senior officer said a complaint had been filed in the case, police personnel at the Kashmere Gate Police Station said they were yet to receive it.
