In Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Thrissur and Ernakulam districts, Collectors announced a holiday for schools.

While a landslip disrupted train services on the Ernakulam-Kottayam route, the South and North railway stations in Ernakulam were flooded, Malayala Manorama reported.

Kerala’s Chief Electoral Officer Teeka Ram Meena said 10 polling booths had flooded in Ernakulam district.
