Jennifer Aniston Joins Instagram And Gifts Us With The Friends Reunion We’ve All Been Waiting For

THIS IS NOT A DRILL.

It’s fair to say Jennifer Aniston has taken her time joining Instagram, but it was so worth the (very long) wait - especially if you’re a Friends fan.

The actress made her debut on the social media site on Tuesday by posting a selfie of her with THE ENTIRE CAST OF FRIENDS.

Yep, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer are all present and correct in the pic, which basically means that Friends reunion has finally happened… just not in the televisual sense.

Along with the selfie, Jennifer wrote: “And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM.”

In under an hour, she had more than 120,000 followers, and her first ever post had been liked more than 270,000 times.

One of the first replies to her post was from her The Morning Show co-star Reese Witherspoon, who wrote: “YASSSS!!! Welcome to Insta Jen!!!”

Unsurprisingly, the actor’s arrival on Instagram - after previously insisting she would not have a social media account - had fans in a right old tizz...

Last week Jen revealed that she and her Friends co-stars had recently got together for dinner at Courteney’s house, which is where the snap was taken.

“We had dinner, the whole gang,” she told Howard Stern on SiriusXM. “Everyone was there. Schwimmer was in town, we all happened to have a window of time, so we all got together.”

And Jen also poured water on those never-ending Friends reboot rumours, explaining: “I honestly think, [though] we would love it, there is an idea if there is a reboot of the show, it won’t be even close to as good as what it was. It would ruin it.”

The new pic comes just weeks after the 25th anniversary of the first ever episode of the much-loved show.

Since a fully-fledged revival of the sitcom is (probably) never going to happen, the star’s Instagram accounts are the closest we’re going to get to seeing the cast back together again.

Earlier this month, Courteney Cox shared a rare snap of herself with Jennifer and Matt LeBlanc sharing a Saturday night together.

“A rare night and I love it,” Courteney captioned the photo, referencing how infrequently the gang hangs out these days.
