Ah, bedtime. In a perfect world, kids would jump right into bed, say goodnight and fall fast asleep (hey, we can dream).
Unfortunately, bedtime often looks a lot more like a struggle. But Netflix has unveiled a new tactic that will hopefully help end the nightly arguments. The company is launching a series with Dreamworks Animation called "Dinotrux 5 Minute Favorites," playing off the fact that kids often stall bedtime with the "just five more minutes!" excuse.
The series is comprised of five minute videos that kids can watch before bed, focusing on the unlikely dinosaur-truck friends Ty-Rux and Revvit as they learn about friendship and teamwork. The videos are designed to be a win-win for parents and kids -- kids get an extra few minutes of fun with a guaranteed end time, while parents no longer have to deal with the nightly battle. As Netflix says, "Kids will think they’re getting away with murder, but parents will get the last laugh when the show ends after just five minutes and the kids are tucked in on time."
