From Gau Mata To 'Uri', 6 Quotes From Piyush Goyal's Budget Speech

Union Minister Piyush Goyal presented the interim budget 2019 in the Lok Sabha on Friday, praising work done by the Narendra Modi government in the last five years.

Goyal said that the Modi government had done much for farmers, women, youth and even cows. He introduced several new initiatives, including one for small farmers.

While he claimed that women had benefitted because of the Modi government, he also highlighted Modi government’s love for the ‘gau mata’. There were also many mentions of the film ‘Uri’ for no apparent reason.
