Chandigarh : On Sunday, the seventh and final phase of voting in the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 will take place in seven states including UT Chandigarh.
The 59 constituencies that will go for polls includes all parliamentary constituencies in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and UT Chandigarh, few constituencies in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Bihar too will . vote. Varanasi, the Lok Sabha seat where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is contesting is amongst the key seats in the final phase.
While polling will take place from 7 am to 6 pm in many states, Jharkhand, Bihar and UP will have voting till 4 pm. The counting will be held on 23 May.
The states that will go for polls this Sunday are as follows:-
Punjab
7 am to 6 pm: Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Khadoor Sahib, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Anandpur Sahib, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot, Firozpur, Bathinda, Sangrur and Patiala
Chandigarh
7 am to 6 pm: Chandigarh
Himachal Pradesh
7 am to 6 pm: Kangra, Mandi, Hamirpur and Shimla
Jharkhand
7 am to 4 pm: Rajmahal, Dumka and Gowda
Madhya Pradesh
7 am to 6 pm: Dewas, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dhar, Indore, Khargone and Khandwa
Uttar Pradesh
7 am to 4 pm: Robertsganj (Assembly Constituencies: Chakia, Robertsganj and Duddhi)
7 am to 6 pm: Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Kushi Nagar, Deoria, Bansgaon, Ghosi, Salempur, Ballia, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Robertsganj (Assembly Constituencies: Ghorawal and Obra)
West Bengal
7 am to 6 pm: Dum Dum, Barasat, Basirhat, Jaynagar, Mathurapur, Diamond Harbour, Jadavpur, Kolkata Dakshin and Kolkata Uttar
Bihar
7 am to 4 pm: Sasaram (Assembly Constituencies: Bhabua, Chainpur, Chenari and Sasaram) and Karakat (Assembly Constituencies: Dehri, Karakat, Goh and Nabinagar)
7 am to 6 pm: Nalanda, Patna Sahib, Pataliputra, Arrah, Buxar, Sasaram (Assembly Constituencies: Mohania and Kargarah), Karakat (Assembly Constituencies: Nokha and Obra) and Jahanabad

Should you complain if your VVPAT shows wrong vote?
You can always lodge a complaint with the presiding officer present in the booth. While citing section 177 of IPC, the Election Commission of India has stated that a person can be arrested for providing wrong information, but the police needs a court order to arrest you. Also, no one can force you to reveal your secret vote.
What if your name does not figure in the voters list?
It is always better to check your vote in advance. If your name is not there, you can inform the concerned poll official. Since the voters list for the phase seven polls are completed in first week of May, it is unlikely that your name can now be included in the voters list.

Should you vote even if all the candidates contesting in your constituency are bad choices?
There is no need to toss the coin. Unfortunately in India, we do not yet have an option of none of the candidates fall in our choice list. Even NOTA too doesn’t provide any answer to this query. Still, it is better to vote so as to prevent the worst candidate among all from taking over the constitutional post. Also, while voting, you can even vote for a candidate, on the basis of party preference.
