Haryana Election Results: Congress Leader Randeep Singh Surjewala Leading From Haryana's Kaithal

Surjewala is pitted against BJP's Leela Ram.

Senior Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala is leading in Haryana’s Kaithal constituency by a margin of 293 votes.

He is pitted against BJP’s Leela Ram. Surjewala won from the seat in 2014 and 2009.

The Congress leader had lost the Jind bypolls, which were held earlier this year.

In an interview with The Hindu, he said his main issues were “utter maladministration of the (Manohar Lal) Khattar government, rampant corruption, unprecedented levels of unemployment and complete annihilation of trade and business.”
