14 Awesome Excuses Kids Have Used To Stay Home From School

It's hard enough getting everyone fed, dressed, and out the door in time for school. It's even harder when your kid is spending the whole time thinking of creative excuses to stay home for the day.

Every once in a while, though, kids offer a spectacularly hilarious reason that makes you consider letting them stay home for the day. We asked the HuffPost Parents community to share some of those excuses -- and the next time we want to cancel our plans, we'll definitely use one of these.
