After Phoolka, Sukhpal Khaira Resigns From AAP

JALANDHAR : Punjab legislator Sukhpal Khaira resigned from Aam Aadmi Party today. This is the second resignation from the Aam Aadmi Party this week as Senior party leader H S Phoolka too resigned from the party earlier.

Alleging AAP from deviating from its ideology and principles on which it was formed post the Anna Hazare movement, he sent his resignation to party head Arvind Kejriwal.

It is pertinent to mention here that Phoolka too had accused AAP leadership from deviating away from the Anna movement. He had claimed that the country requires a second Anna movement, a parallel force that will call a spade a spade.

AAP’s leadership in Punjab formed difference in opinion with the national leadership after Kejriwal apologised to Shiromani Akali dal elder Bikram Singh Majithia for calling him a ‘drug lord’ in the run up to the Punjab assembly elections 2017.

Responding to Khaira’s resignation, senior party leader Manish Sisodia tweeted to claim that party will be strengthened with his exit.
