Eleven people died after a boat being used for the immersion of a Ganesha idol capsized in a Bhopal river, NDTV reported.

A probe has been ordered into the accident, Madhya Pradesh minister PC Sharma said, and a compensation of Rs 4 lakh has been announced for the families of the deceased by the District Collector.

According to ANI, the 11 bodies were recovered at Khatlapura Ghat.
