9. One&Only Hayman Island, Great Barrier Reef, Australia
Built in the early 1950s off the Great Barrier Reef, the venerated old Hayman Island Resort was looking a bit tired when One&Only stepped into the picture and revitalized it in 2014, turning it into the One&Only Hayman Island.
