Dalit leader and activist
Uttam Khobragade retired from the Indian Administrative Service in May 2011. He is currently the National Executive President Republican Party of India(A). He is a well-known Dalit leader and activist who has united the SC/ST associations of Maharashtra State Government organizations into a federation called Bahujan Karmachari Sangh, which is now expanding nations-wide. His main aim remains to work for the progress of the dalits and other marginalized sections.
Mr Khobragade is also a qualified advocate and serves part-time as a Consultant with Reliance, and the Raheja and Laqshya Group in Mumbai.
