Some of us got to meet the Nashes up close only during the tea and coffee session that followed the long-drawn-out Q&A session. It was here, in the coffee lounge of the economics department at DSE, that we saw them as beautiful - albeit unconventionally so - and vulnerable individuals.

Tista Bagchi is a professor of linguistics at the University of Delhi. A Ph.D. from the University of Chicago and a former Fellow of the National Humanities Center, Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, she has research interests in applied ethics, gender, and cultural studies alongside theoretical linguistics.
