Tina Tahiliani Parikh is Executive Director of Ensemble, India’s first haute couture store, which opened its doors to the public in December 1987. Under Tina’s leadership, Ensemble has grown from a single store that showcased the creations of five designers to a total of 3 stores in Mumbai at Lion’s Gate, Kemps Corner and Bandra, as well as 2 stores in Delhi at DLF Emporio and Santushti, all of which have the very best designs of over fifty of the country’s finest couturiers on offer. <br> <br> After completing her higher studies in the USA, Tina arrived back in India and took over the merchandising, marketing, finance and strategic direction at Ensemble. In addition to this, she also played a pivotal role in streamlining the operations at the store. Tina brought to Ensemble, a strong belief in her ideas, an innovative spirit, a tireless work ethic, remarkable dedication and a steadfast commitment to the most stylish merchandise of the highest quality. Her diligent efforts at Ensemble truly spawned the profession of the ‘Fashion Buyer’ in India today. <br> <br> Over the years, Tina has enabled Ensemble’s metamorphosis from being a small multi-designer store to what it is today – a powerhouse in the Indian fashion industry. With an impressive range of bridal and occasion-wear, to both classic and trendy Western wear along with a selection of elegant accessories, Ensemble’s strength lies in its ability to spot and introduce new talent to its clientele and the industry at large. Ensemble is credited with introducing such industry notables as Tarun Tahiliani, Rohit Khosla, Neil Bieff, Amaya and Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla, Rohit Bal, Monisha Jaising, Varun Bahl, Raghavendra Rathore and Anamika Khanna. <br> <br> Now in its 26th year and still offering beautiful designs from an eclectic mix of old and new designers, Ensemble is firmly established in the forefront of the Indian fashion industry. With India’s most high-profile and talented designers, including Wendell Rodericks, Savio Jon, Rajesh Pratap, Gaurav Gupta, Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Lecoanet Hemant, along with promising new designers as Pero, Pankaj Ahuja and Amit Agarwal, the name Ensemble is synonymous with the best that contemporary Indian Fashion has to offer. <br> <br> Tina started her career in San Francisco as a Financial Analyst with the First Boston Corporation, one of America’s leading Investment Banks. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in International Policy from Stanford University at Palo Alto, California.
