<em>"Hum bewafa hargiz na thay, par hum wafa kar na sake." </em> This Kishore Kumar song was not playing on a golden oldies radio show but on a news channel as the soundtrack to a story about the divorce of cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan and his wife, journalist Reham Khan. As the song played, a picture of the couple popped up on the screen, followed by a sudden crack between the two to really drive home the point that they were parting. How dramatic can things get here?
Saudi Arabia's health minister Khaled al-Falih blamed "undisciplined" pilgrims for the deadly stampede, adding that the tragedy would not have occurred had they "had followed instructions". The "public" is a large, heterogeneous and scattered audience. (At least this is what Mass Communications taught me at university.) The people comprising the "masses" differ from each other. For Hajj, they are united by their religion - Islam -- and the fact that they are humans. And yet the health minister decided to label the pilgrims "undisciplined" in general.

Want to do something fun? Get these: Fresh strawberries, peeled and chopped bananas, marshmallows, Nutella and skewers. On a skewer, fix a strawberry, then a piece of banana and then a marshmallow. Drizzle a good quantity of Nutella over the prepared fruit and Nutella skewers and enjoy! You can even replace the fruits with those of your choice. Anything to go with marshmallows.

Instead of opening a history book or sitting down with their grandparents to hear stories from that time, many Pakistanis have decided to look into the present and plan for the future. They believe that making resolutions will help them focus on what to do to make this country a prosperous one. According to many, it is better to make the youth plan the future instead of teaching them how to sing patriotic songs like, which only stir patriotic sentiments on 14 August every year.

These incidents prove that Pakistan is gradually becoming a dangerous place to live, especially for minorities. They may own a Pakistani National Identity Card or passport, and treated as brethren by their neighbours, but who will explain this to the killers?

Dear Pakistan, you remain the only country outside of sub-Saharan Africa to be ranked in the bottom 10 countries in the world for overall progress towards the measureable Education for All (EFA) goals. Yes, this was revealed in the findings of UNESCO's 12th Education for All Global Monitoring report.

You know about those nights when you get to bed exhausted and longing for sleep. But when you shut your eyes, your brain refuses to do the same. Terrible, isn't it? A sleepless night full of tossing and turning can be worse than a nightmare. Having suffered recently from insomnia, I found some methods that worked for me.

Terrorists want destabilisation in a country, and that is one of the reasons why they attack people and places. But sometimes, there is a very thin line separating the acts of terrorists from non-terrorists, as became clear from the recent violent protests and lynching incidents in Lahore in retaliation for a terrorist attack.

If you're physically or verbally abused by your husband, stop him. Do not submit yourself to mistreatment. He may be your husband with many rights, but you are also his wife with many rights. The two of you are equal.
