I am not going to #PrayforNice. We have all seen what praying for Paris and Brussels achieved. It does not help the victims nor does it prevent future incidents. It only helps us, at an individual level, feel a bit better about the incomprehensible horror and cruelty of our world, so that we can move on with our own lives.
My peers from the colonies, be they of the Antipodes, the exotic Orient, West Indies or the subtly named Dark Continent, have spent most of their lives dreaming of a day when their beloved "mother country" implodes economically, socially, and politically. Just as they got to enjoy in the colonies during those pleasant few centuries under the Crown.

For the last 10 years, the silence of a pliant media, BCCI and cricketing community allowed Azhar to do all the talking. And unlike before, when the in-depth analysis on Azhar's CBI confessions were only available in the print media or nascent Indian internet, the "improved" version of his story has reached a much wider audience, thanks to increasing social media penetration and rent-a-mob Twitter and Facebook fans. Now, before the film Azhar becomes the pinnacle of his attempt to rewrite the story, it's time to dust off some facts.
