Many think that two days in NZ as part of an Aussie holiday is more than enough. And, I had smoke coming out of my ears when I heard another tourist boast that they'd "done" South Island after their three-day stay in Queenstown. From adventure sports to walking trails to natural wonders, the island has a lot more to offer. Of course, not all of us are blessed with lengthy time-offs so here's a round-up of some of the most awesome places here.
From squawking chickens to colourful mounds of roasted spices, markets offer a great sneak peek into a country's produce, what the locals love to eat and of course how its people shop. It's for this reason that when I found myself in Guangzhou, I decided to go explore the markets of Liwan. The Chinese are great believers in natural remedies and this really shone through in the market. Here are 10 cool things I spotted that really made the Liwan market stand out for me.

Proud Parsi that I am, I like visiting Udvada for quite another reason - the food! This has to be the only town where you can feast like a king on all kinds of Parsi food without having to wait for that elusive Parsi wedding invite.

This obsession for pomfret transcends my family and it is fair to say that the pomfret is the queen bee of Parsi cuisine.

Over the course of our Sunday in Purani Dilli, we walked eight kilometres and tried nine different places spread across Jama Masjid, Chawri Bazar, Chandni Chowk and Daryaganj. It was the best one-day stopover I've ever had in a city till date.
