Deepak&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;nbsp; “Dee” Khuntia, M.D., is vice president of Medical Affairs at Varian Medical Systems. He works closely with the Varian product and regulatory teams to provide clinical and scientific guidance in all areas of clinical risk, safety reviews, adverse experience reporting, product life cycle reviews and clinical protocol design. Khuntia holds a medical degree from the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine, and completed his radiation oncology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Most of the cancers in India are diagnosed when the tumours are big or have spread in the body, at which point they become either untreatable or are harder to treat. Now a new development offers hope for potentially increasing detection rates and improving the likelihood that those in need receive treatment.
