Bushra Alvi is a freelance writer and editor and writes on society and culture. She translates literary works from Urdu and Hindi to English. She has also taught English in her native India, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Many of her poems have appeared in various anthologies. All these festivals signify health, wealth and prosperity and the coming of warmer days.
