Prof. Ayaz Ahmad

Prof. Ayaz Ahmad is presently the Head of Glocal Law School, Glocal University, Saharanpur-UP. Before this, he worked as an Assistant Professor at National Law University Orissa, Cuttack. He is a former Member of Aligarh Muslim University Court and the President of Post Graduate Law Students Union, Faculty of Law, Delhi University. Prof. Ahmad has participated in several national and international conferences, seminars and workshops. He specializes in constitutional and environmental laws and holds UGC NET and JRF certificates. Prof. Ahmad has previously published in academic journals, popular magazines and webzines. He is spearheading the movement to take legal education from classes to masses with the object of empowering the marginalized section of India. His arguments on the minority character of Aligarh Muslim University published by Livelaw.in have been adopted by the lawyers arguing the case before the Supreme Court of India. He has co-authored a report on reforming legal education which has been selected to be part of an edited book by Gyan publication, New Delhi.
