Senior BJP leader and general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya has indicated that his party may not be able to form the government in Madhya Pradesh this time.

According to early trends in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP is leading in 102 seats and the Congress is ahead in 116 seats. The halfway mark in MP assembly is 115.

Speaking to a local Hindi news channel, Vijayvargiya said that MP Congress chief Kamal Nath should be credited with for making sure factionalism did not affect Congress's election campaign this election.

"In politics, one should be gracious enough to accept good things of the opponents. Congress, under Kamal Nath, fought this election tactically and unitedly. He should be given credit for making sure factionalism in the party did not damage its electoral prospects," said the BJP leader, who looked visibly dejected.
