Speaking at his first poll rally in Telangana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the people of Nizamabad that those who want development only vote for the BJP.
"Those who believe in development, building new India and new Telangana trust BJP most," Modi said at the rally.
Taking a dig at Telangana chief minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) chief K Chandrashekhar Rao, he said, "Telangana chief minister and his family think they can rule without doing any work like the Congress did for years. He said he will turn Nizamabad city into a city like London but the place lacks basic facilities like water, roads and power."
Criticising Rao for not joining the Centre's Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Modi said, "He did injustice to people... he did it because he feels insecure."
Modi said people should teach a lesson to the TRS this election.
He said that BJP did not believe in vote-bank politics. "BJP has just one Mantra- 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'; vote bank politics has damaged development like termite," Modi said during his rally.
Modi also criticised the Congress and said both Congress and TRS were two sides of the same coin:
He further criticised Rao saying:
Chandrashekar Rao's apprenticeship was in Congress. He learnt from them and destroyed Telangana, now if those who have done PhD (Congress) come to power, they'll do 100 times more destruction: Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Nizamabad #TelanganaElections2018pic.twitter.com/FklNCxGldf
