After calling out Nana Patekar for allegedly harassing her on the sets of a movie in 2008, actress Tanushree Dutta has revealed that movie director Vivek Agnihotri told her "kapde utaar ke naacho" (take off your clothes and dance) while filming Chocolate in 2005.
In an exclusive interview with DNA, Dutta revealed that Agnihotri asked her to do so in order to provide her co-star Irrfan Khan with "cues."
"This guy (Vivek Agnihotri) wanted me to give cues to an actor (Irrfan Khan). It was an actor's close-up. It was not even my shot. I was not even going to be in the shot. It was the actor's close-up and he had to just look at something and give expressions. This director, he told me 'jao jaake kapde utaar ke naacho, usko cues do.'" she said.
Dutta said that Khan and Suniel Shetty, who was present on set, shot back at Agnihotri.
"...The actor was horrified. And, because he had done some work, he could say something. He just told the director, 'What are you talking about? I can give my closeup. Mujhe acting aati hai'. Suneil Shetty also spoke up. He was also there, he heard it and he got offended by it. He was like, 'Main aayun kya wahaan cues dene ke liye? Yeah of course, there are good people in the industry," she said.
Agnihotri, who has been tweeting since the morning today, has not responded to Dutta's allegation.
Dutta has also accused Nana Patekar of harassing her on the sets of the 2009 film Horn 'Ok' Pleassss and then sending goons to intimidate her.
"He was very aggressive and was pushing me around and misbehaving with me on the set. My complaint was not heard. He also demanded to do an intimate step with me even though it was my solo dance. It was total harassment," she told ANI.
The actress told Zoom TV that no one speaks about Patekar's alleged harassment of women.
"Everyone knows about Nana Patekar that he has always been disrespectful towards women. People in the industry know about his in the background that he has beaten actresses, he has molested them, his behaviour with women has always been crude but no publication has printed anything about it," she said.
Hardly anyone in Bollywood have spoken in Dutta's support. The exceptions include Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra, Anurag Kashyap, Richa Chadha, Swara Bhasker, Sidharth and Twinkle Khanna.
Patekar, when asked about the allegations, said, "What do you mean sexual harassment? There were 50-100 people on the set with me."
"Will see what I can do legally. It's a waste talking to media, you guys will play up anything," he said.
