Thursday was a historic day in India with the Supreme Court reading down the archaic Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code. The verdict was hailed by all and people took to the streets across the country to celebrate the big win for the LGBT community in the country.
People gathered around the Supreme Court in New Delhi early in the day in anticipation of the verdict carrying posters, banners and rainbow flags.

Celebrations were also seen in other major cities like Kolkata, Bengaluru and Chennai.
