With streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar and Voot competing for your attention, it can be quite overwhelming to browse all of them to pick the perfect show for your weekend bingeing.
So we caught up with 90s heartthrob Milind Soman, who was at an Airbnb event talking about, what else, staying fit on the go, to list the shows he watches when he's not running the marathon or preparing for one.
"I don't watch that many shows but then there are some that I passionately watch," he said, listing four superhero shows and one fantasy film we must all revisit.
Here's what he's Netflixing:
The Originals (Netflix)
The show is fabulously well-written. I really watch it for the writing. I am a big fan of vampire shows. I didn't watch The Vampire Diaries but The Originals, which came after, is something I enjoyed as it has set the bar really high for supernatural shows.
I am a huge fan of superhero origin stories and most of these I've consumed when the comics came out, much before the shows. I love Daredevil for its action and the mood it creates.
Again, the world of Arrow continues to intrigue and adds to my fascination of superhero series.
The Punisher (Netflix)
I haven't gotten around to seeing this yet but it's definitely on my must-watch list.
Lord of the Rings (Netflix)
It's so amazingly well-written I can watch it multiple times. Again, the magic is in the writing. Nothing comes close. And in these genres, it's so easy to go wrong. Just look at Twilight, those are terribly written books but there's a great story somewhere in there. But LOTR is pure gold.
