Veteran Journalist Kuldip Nayar Dies At 95

Kuldip Nayar, renowned journalist and author, died on Thursday at the age of 95.

His funeral will be conducted at 1 pm on Thursday at the Lodhi Road crematorium, The Hindureported.

Nayar, who served as high commissioner of India to the UK in 1990, was a former editor of The Indian Express. Nayar, who strongly opposed the emergency imposed by then prime minister Indira Gandhi, was also jailed during the period.
