Priyanka Chopra, who was announced as the leading lady of the Salman Khan-starrer Bharat, has opted out of the project.
A report in Mumbai Mirror said that she opted out of the movie because she's 'bagged a bigger' project. People Magazine, however, is reporting that Chopra and Jonas got engaged in London on the actor's 36th birthday.
Jonas picked up a ring from Tiffany's NYC store before popping the question to which Chopra said 'Yes.'
"His friends and family have never seen him like this, and they're all really excited for him. He's definitely very serious about her," the magazine quoted a source as saying.
Chopra's Bharat director, Ali Abbas Zafar, hinted at the wedding in a tweet:
Nick Jonas, 25, and Priyanka Chopra, 36 met during the Met Gala in New York last year, after which they kept in touch. Things took a serious turn when Chopra attended a wedding in Jonas' family and got introduced to his folks.
Last month, Jonas flew down to Mumbai to meet Chopra's mother, Madhu Chopra. The family went on to a quick vacation in Goa, after which Chopra flew down to Brazil to see her boyfriend perform.
