George Clooney Taken To Hospital After Scooter Crash In Sardinia, Reports Italian Media

George Clooney was taken to hospital following a scooter crash in Sardinia on Tuesday morning.

George is on the island filming his new TV series ‘Catch 22’ and was riding in the town Costa Corallina when his scooter collided with a car.

On Tuesday afternoon, a representative for the star told HuffPost UK: “George Clooney was treated and released from an Olbia hospital.

“He is recovering at his home and will be fine.”

Revealing details of the crash, they added: “At 8.15am George Clooney was riding his scooter on the State Road 125 towards Olbia from Puntaldia.

“A car (a Mercedes E SW) did not respect the right of way and hit him. George Clooney fell and slammed the windshield of the Mercedes.

“The car driver called the 112, the emergency number of Carabinieri, and they sent the Municipal Police, an ambulance and the Fire Dept.

“MRI was negative, and he is not seriously injured.”

‘Catch 22’ is an adaptation of Joseph Heller’s classic novel and George is directing and starring in the series.

His castmates include Hugh Laurie, Austin Stowell (‘Whiplash’) and Kyle Martin Chandler (‘Friday Night Lights’).
