A few weeks ago, Ranbir Kapoor, in an interview with GQ, revealed that he was dating Alia Bhatt, sending both their massive fan clubs into a collective tizzy.

He had said, "t always comes with a lot of excitement. It's a new person, it comes with new beats. Old tricks become new tricks again — you know, being charming and romantic, all of that. I think I'm more balanced today."

In a different interview, he said when you're in love, even "water tastes like sherbet."

Earlier today, in an interview with The Telegraph, the actor said, "After so many years of being in films, I've come to realize that I need a life beyond films and some personal space. The relationship keeps me grounded and has value for me. Tomorrow, I may reach different heights of superstardom or might end up as a big failure, but that should not matter to me. What should matter are the relationships I've built in life — I also want to get married and have my own tribe."

Bhatt too has expressed her desire to get married.

Kapoor also requested the media to 'respect their privacy' and not 'make a mockery of their relationship.'

"We don't want to make a mockery of it and make it a reality show, but just to put things in perspective and that this is happening —respect my privacy and respect the fact that I'm sharing this with you," he said.

Kapoor, just like her cousin Kareena, has been relatively open about his relationships. He was vocal about dating Deepika Padukone but maintained a stoic silence during his romance with Katrina Kaif, who he lived in with for over 2 years.
