Last seen in Prakash Jha's Jai Gangajal, Priyanka Chopra is returning to Bollywood with a mega-project co-starring Salman Khan.
The actress has been roped in by Ali Abbas Zaffar, director of Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, for his ambitious project, titled Bharat. The film is being produced by Khan's brother-in-law, Vivek Agnihotri.
Talking about the casting coup, Zafar told Mumbai Mirror, "Priyanka is the biggest Indian artiste globally today and the perfect fit for our film," while Chopra said, "I'm looking forward to working with Salman and Ali... I've learned a lot from them."
Bharat is the official adaptation of the Korean film, Ode To My Father, but will be tailored to suit an Indian audience.
In the past, Khan and Chopra have worked on three films together -- David Dhawan's Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Nikkhil Advani's Salaam-e-Ishq and God Tussi Great Ho.
On the Hollywood front, Chopra has Quantico's third season which will premiere on April 26, Silas Howard's Sundance hit A Kid Like Jake (June 8) and Todd Strauss-Schulson's Isn't it Romantic, scheduled for 2019
