The trailer of Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu-starrer 'October' just dropped online.

The film, penned by ace writer Juhi Chaturvedi, is helmed by Shoojit Sircar (VickyDonor, Piku) and in its introductory trailer, it proudly says it's not a love story but a story about love.

What we know so far is that Varun's character, Dan, works in the hospitality sector, where he meets Shiuli (Banita Sandhu), who's also part of the team. It's revealed that something horrible happens to Shiuli's character, something that acts as a catalyst for the two of them to come together in a way they hadn't while working along.

Sources close to the unit have revealed the film is a story about a guy who learns to introspect about his own life as he learns more and more about Shiuli, through their common friends.

The trailer looks moody and melancholic and the film might just turn out to be the kind of love story we've forgotten telling.

It's also a refreshing departure for Dhawan, who was last seen in Badrinath ki Dulhania and Judwaa 2. As for Banita Sandhu, her evocative face conveys much more than the sparse line of dialogue.
