After the critically-celebrated Mukkabaaz, Anurag Kashyap's next endeavor includes Netflix's first Indian series, the screen-adaptation of Vikram Chandra's Sacred Games.
While an official release date is yet to be locked, sources close to the show told HuffPost that Netflix is looking at a June 2018 release. The first season will feature 8 episodes, 4 of which have been directed by Kashyap and the rest four by Vikramaditya Motwane (Lootera, Trapped).
The show has a terrific ensemble that features Saif Ali Khan as cop Sartaj Singh, Nawazuddin Siddiqui as gangster Ganesh Gaitonde and Radhika Apte as RAW analyst Anjali Mathur. The film also features Rajshri Deshpande of Sexy Durga fame in a pivotal role.
