Censor Board Wants Imtiaz Ali To Delete The Word 'Intercourse' From 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' Promo

Because adults don't have intercourse.

Just when you think you've seen it all, the Central Board of Film Certification (or the Censor Board as it's popularly known) throws yet another hard-to-comprehend curveball.

This time around, Pahlaj Nihalani and his team have voiced their concerns against the use of the word 'intercourse' in the promos of Imtiaz Ali's romantic comedy, Jab Harry Met Sejal, a report on TheQuintsaid.

Two adults talking about 'intercourse' in a film is still a problem for the CBFC, which one assumes isn't quite in 2017 yet.

In the promo, Anushka's character is seen handing over something called as an 'indemnity bond' to Shah Rukh's character, cheekily saying there won't be any legal ramifications if the couple ends up having 'intercourse.'

Nihalani told the portal that the trailer has been given an 'U/A' rating on the condition that the makers remove the word 'intercourse' which they are yet to.

While the promo streamed online without the censor cuts, the makers will still need a CBFC clearance to air the promo on television.

Many TV channels downloaded the promo from the Internet and ran it nonetheless, something Nihalani says he'll take an action against.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Jab Harry Met Sejal is Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma's third film together and is set to release on August 4.
