The third edition of the International Yoga Day started on a rainy note in various parts of the country on Wednesday morning.

But Yoga reigned, with Indian Army soldiers performing asanas at nearly 18,000 feet in Ladakh in -25 degree weather, and Indian Navy officers doing the 'mountain pose' inside submarines deep below in the sea.

Healthy Yoga Day vibes were also felt on board the Indian Navy aircraft carrier, INS Vikramaditya.

School children across India participated in various yoga related events in their schools.

Yoga is no more confined to India but is now being practiced far and wide. Here's proof:

In South Africa's Soweto township, over 1,000 people participated and performed various asanas on International Yoga Day.

Even the freezing weather couldn't stop people in Chile and Argentina from performing yoga at camps organised by Sri Sri Ravishankar.
