It was a huge win for Pakistan yesterday. In a stunning manner, Pakistan thrashed India by 180 runs to lift the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy at London's Kennington Oval on Sunday.

It was historical for many reasons. This is their first ICC title since winning the 2009 World Twenty20 in similarly incomprehensible manner. This is also the first in the 50-over format since Imran Khan lifted the World Cup on a starry Melbourne night 25 years ago.

Naturally, the newspapers of Pakistan went on the celebration mode. Here's a look at some of the newspaper clippings from Pakistan.

The Dawn called it a historic win over Pakistan's arch rivals.

"The green shirts set up a daunting 339-run target with a loss of four wickets for the men in blue, but Indian batting collapsed under a calculated bowling attack, with all men out for just 158 runs in the 31st over," the report noted.

The News said that the stars had aligned for Pakistan to ensure they cut "old rivals India" down to size to win their maiden Champions Trophy crown.

The Nation had a simple message. It read, "We are the champions".

"Pakistan had a dream run in the tournament, but doubts remained over its ability to tackle the pressures of an India game, let alone that of a final. It answered that in emphatic fashion with a clinical performance, outplaying India in all facets of the game," the report noted.

The Pakistan Observer called the team not just champions, but 'legendary champions'.

"The green shirts set up a daunting 339-run target with a loss of four wickets for the men in blue, but Indian batting collapsed under a calculated bowling attack, with all men out for just 158 runs in the 31st over," the report noted.

The Express Tribunewas all praises for Fakhar Zaman by scoring a spectacular century to set up Pakistan's first ODI title win in 25 years. "Fakhar is a great impact player, he played like a champion batsman today," Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed said at the presentation ceremony. And quite rightly so.
