A burning man was left to die on a highway in Beed, Maharashtra even as bystanders watched and traffic passed by, and no one offered help.

A video, which seems to have been taken by a bystander, shows the man lying ablaze along with his bike and traffic passing by, even slowing down to take a look at what was happening, but not stopping to get help.

NDTV reported that two bikes had collided on the highway, and the man engulfed in flames was stuck under the bike which caught fire. The rider of the other bike was also injured. Both of them have died.

The body of the man is said to have been charred beyond recognition and the police still don't know who the victim is.

What is worse, the video shows a small crowd gathering and taking videos, but not one person comes forward to help.

Senior police officer G Sreedhar told NDTV, "Since the number plates on the bike were burnt, we are unable to get much details about the victim. All we could tell from the plates was that the bike was registered in Parbhani (a town nearby). We have given the plate to the Regional Transport Office, which can give us details."

The police are also trying to figure if one of the bikers were carrying inflammable material because of which the bike caught fire.
